Providing planning enforcement support to Trafford Council

Due to a resource gap at Trafford Council, it left their planning team with reduced capacity and senior expertise to support with the planning requirements of the borough whilst they were in the process of recruiting for permanent members of staff.

Our officers worked alongside the Council’s planning team on a secondment basis for 3 days a week based at their offices in Trafford. This arrangement has been in place for two years and has recently been extended.

Our officers are supporting with a large caseload of enforcement cases in relation to breaches of planning control, from investigation, to making recommendations on an appropriate course of action to take.

As a result of providing an experienced planning / enforcement officer from our team, it added the required expertise needed to ensure service quality. We were able to offer a quick and flexible service solution for the Council at short notice which could be extended as and when the Council requires.
