About this event

This course is delivered by our joint venture with Staffordshire County Council, Entrust, and is suitable for anyone seeking a recognised first-aid certificate to meet the needs of the Health & Safety 1981 (First Aid) Regulations.

The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work qualification is specifically designed for individuals who wish to act as a first aider in their workplace. Successful candidates will learn how to manage a range of injuries and illnesses that could occur at work and will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give emergency first aid.

Over 3 days of training learners will develop the skills and knowledge to deal with a range of first aid incidents and situations associated with the work environment. The course will enable the learner to:

  • deal with an unresponsive casualty,
  • perform CPR,
  • recognise and deal with a casualty having a seizure,
  • provide aid for both minor and major injuries.

This course will also enable the learner to recognise and better deal with a range of common medical conditions including diabetes, heart problems, asthma, anaphylaxis etc.
