Tell us about your role at Capita Local Public Services

As the Operations Director for the CSG contract in Barnet, I oversee the commissioning and delivery of the front and back office services that have been outsourced to us.

What is your biggest success or proudest moment at Capita?

It has been really pleasing to work with Customer Services in Barnet as we have moved from receiving a Remedy Note for under performance in 2014 to being rated one of the best in local government through the satisfaction ratings during 2017. Linked to this was gaining agreement for the customer access strategy and to take forward a £5m+ Customer Transformation Programme with the council which is a great opportunity for Capita to showcase digital transformation.

Focused, challenging, resourceful

What do you like most about your role?

I really enjoy the variety of services we deliver under the CSG contract. It regularly provides new challenges and a great opportunity to learn.

When you were a child, what did you dream of being when you grew up?

Play cricket for Yorkshire

What do you do in your spare time?

When I am not injured (which is far too often) running, cycling and triathlons along with spending time with my family.

If you had to eat just one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?

I do love a good curry.

What was the best piece of advice you ever received?

Never give up, because if you keep believing and trying anything can happen.

Tell us something people might not know about you

I progressed from doing very little exercise in 2012 to an Olympic distance triathlon within about 18 months, including swimming 1,500m in the Thames.
