Re's licensing agency services team

This spotlight is on the licensing agency services team are part of Re, our joint venture with London Borough of Barnet. They improve and deliver a range of property, development and regulatory services to local authorities and commercial organisations. 
1. What area are you responsible for? 

The Licensing Agency service at Re (Regional Enterprise Ltd) is a paid for service provided by the Licensing Team.

The service assists customers in obtaining the right trading licences to enable their business to grow, thrive and most importantly remain compliant with regulations.  

 2. Roughly how many people are in the team? 

There are currently 2.5 officers within the team who deliver the service 

3. Describe a typical day in for the Licensing Agency team 

Most of the requests the team receive are for application assistance under the Licensing Act 2003, which relate to the sale and supply of alcohol or regulated entertainment. Our service does not just help our customers obtain their license, we spend time discussing their business in detail and what additional authorisations they may need, and how this could positively impact their business.  

4. What is the proudest moment for your team? 

Assisting Saracens rugby union team with their licence variation, which allowed them to undertake a larger variety of activities at their home ground Allianz Park. 

5. Tell us something that people may not know about the Licensing Agency team  

It isn’t just alcohol licences we can assist with, we offer assistance across a number of applications from street trading to special treatments (i.e. tattoo parlours).
