Capita has entered into a strategic partnership with North-Shields based charity Meadow Well Connected

Our North Tyneside Partnership and North Shields-based charity Meadow Well Connected have strengthened their links.

Employees working within our partnership with North Tyneside Council had already chosen Meadow Well Connected as their focus for fundraising and volunteering activities in 2018. Now the charity and ourselves have entered into a strategic partnership which commits both organisations to a longer-term relationship with each other.

Capita’s North Tyneside Partnership Director Richard Carmichael said: “I’m delighted to strengthen our ties with Meadow Well Connected. It’s a fantastic charity that is making a big difference to people’s lives on a daily basis and we’re looking forward to working more closely with them. We already have a great relationship with Norham High School nearby and our partnership with Meadow Well Connected further supports our commitment to the local community.”
Chris Armstrong, Operations and Finance Manager at Meadow Well Connected, said:It’s more important than ever that we engage with the private sector to help ensure our long-term survival. Gaining a commitment from an organisation such as Capita is a real boost, not only in terms of their support but the expertise that they can provide as well. It demonstrates that Capita recognises the importance of social value and making a valuable contribution to the community.”

Meadow Well Connected works positively with the community by providing a safe, welcoming place where local residents can meet new people, make new friends and learn new skills to help the community thrive. To find out more visit their website here.

Reducing the risk of flooding in North Tyneside

Throughout I have been kept in touch about road closures and access to my property. The area has been kept clean and safe, the men worked long hours, even under floodlights to complete the project. The road has been thoroughly cleaned and I can get the car into my garage again.

“The successful delivery of this major highways project has had an instant positive impact on the Authority’s highway network. The scheme has been challenging and complex but was delivered with minimal disruption to the travelling public. The benefits to all highway users can clearly be seen.”

We are committed to supporting local businesses. However, when there are unacceptable risks to public health, enforcement action will be taken to protect the interests of consumers and maintain food safety.
