Capita to provide planning resilience support to East Herts Council

East Herts Council has commissioned Capita’s Planning resilience team to provide additional planning expertise and capacity support.

Capita’s planners will seamlessly work alongside the Council’s existing planning team to assist with work load pressures on the council’s planning service and will also provide specialist expertise on complex planning matters.

Capita commenced providing resilience support to the council on a flexible basis from January 2019. The flexible model means the council can switch the service on and off as per their capacity and expertise requirements.

Kevin Steptoe from East Herts Council said:

“We are delighted to have Capita supporting our Planning service.  Our team is performing well however, Capita will add much needed resilience at times of high demand and give us access to more expertise we can reach out to for more complex developments.

Andy Foster, Business Development Director, Capita, said,

“We are delighted East Herts have chosen us to support them.  The District lies in a part of the country where there is significant pressure to develop.  Our team are looking forward to working with the council to help take some of that pressure of the team at times of high demand.”
