Capita win contract to provide planning support to North Lincolnshire Council

Capita have been awarded a contract to provide Planning and Building Control Support to North Lincolnshire Council over the next two years following a competitive tender exercise.

The framework is part of a drive to improve the service the council provides to residents and businesses.

The contract includes provision of consultancy services to help the council identify how they are performing and identify areas to improve the service they offer whilst reducing net operating costs.

In addition, Capita will be providing both planning and building control application processing support to relieve the pressure on the existing teams during periods of high demand as well as providing access to specialist expertise for particularly complex developments.

Chris Ramsbottom, Head of Service Asset Management and Development, North Lincolnshire Council said,

“These are exciting times for North Lincolnshire with ambitious plans in play to bring new homes and jobs in to the area.  We are delighted to have Capita as our partners who will provide invaluable support as we aim to be one of the top performing planning authorities in the country.”

Andy Foster, Business Development Director, Capita, said,

“We are delighted to be supporting North Lincolnshire Council.  Our planning resilience service continues to go from strength to strength and our technology enabled core will allow us to help the council identify ways to make processes more efficient, cost effective and will provide invaluable additional capacity at times when they need it the most.”
