Capita to complete condition data collection surveys on an additional 69 colleges for the Department for Education (DfE).
Capita’s building surveying and engineering team has been delivering the condition data collection (CDC) programme at over 5,500 schools for the DfE since 2017.
The programme is on target for a successful conclusion by the completion deadline which is testimony to the hard work and commitment of the CDC team.
Due to its successful implementation, the DfE has now instructed Capita to include an additional 69 further education colleges on the delivery programme, which will see the contract extended to December 2019.
Capita was one of four providers selected by the DfE to assess the state of 22,000 school buildings in the CDC programme, one of the largest and most innovative projects of its type in Europe.
The programme builds on the DfE’s property data survey programme, which provided, for the first time, a consistent measure of condition and data on the size, condition, age and composition of the school estate in England.
