Introducing Capita’s North West planning and building control hub

As Capita’s Planning & Building Control resilience service continues to grow nationally, we are delighted to announce the opening of our newest ‘Hub’ located in the heart of Manchester City Centre.

With over 200 planning and building control professionals already working across our existing ‘planning and building control hubs’ in the UK, including North Tyneside, Barnet, Breckland and Belfast, our new Manchester office at Churchgate and Lee House on Oxford Road, will help to provide local authorities in the North West with the capacity and expertise they need to support their planning and building control requirements.

With increasing case-loads, pressure on resources and a focus on regenerating towns and cities, local authority planning departments are coming under more strain than ever before. This combined with a lack of qualified and experienced planning staff available to the market, it’s a challenging time for local authorities.

Already working with over 100 local authorities across the UK, Capita’s planning hubs offer the full spectrum of planning policy, development management, building control and specialist support services. Our service is designed for local authorities who need immediate solutions and a flexible service which can be switched on and off as required. We help with complex planning challenges, clear workload backlogs, enhance the use of technology and data and support development ambitions.

Mark Dally, Director of Regulatory and Place Services at Capita says:

“Our planning and building control professionals will benefit from moving into the newly refurbished office with plenty of break out spaces, great transport links and even better connectivity to the wider Capita team. We are delighted to now be based in Manchester City Centre, providing exciting new employment opportunities as well as the planning and building control capacity and expertise support that our customers need”
