Urban Vision’s street works team leader voted in as the Deputy Chair NW JAG and Vice Chair of NWHAUC
Urban Vision’s street works team leader, Lee Lacking (working on behalf of Salford City Council and Capita as part of our Urban Vision joint venture partnership), has been voted in as the Deputy Chair North West JAG and Vice Chair of NWHAUC.
As recognition of his Street Works experience and expertise, Lee was voted in by his fellow industry peers and is now playing an essential role in promoting Street Works initiatives, best practice and collaborative working across the North West.
Urban Vision is our joint venture with Salford City Council and Galliford Try bringing innovation and skills from the public and private sector for development and regeneration across Salford.
In his role as street works team leader at Urban Vision for the past 4 years (working on behalf of Salford City Council), Lee has provided continuous support and guidance to not only his team but those across the Greater Manchester area, providing street Works training to AGMA Inspectors and chairing best practice meetings. He has been instrumental in the delivery of a number of street works shared services initiatives and is regularly looking for opportunities to promote and improve street works.
Most recently following the introduction of the DfT Street Works Inspections (Coring) Statutory Guidance, Lee has worked to develop a best practice approach to ensure that inspections and investigatory works involving coring are carried out consistently and reasonably. Using a bespoke performance monitoring approach to coring, Urban Vision aims to drive improvements in the quality of reinstatements in a way that will meet the requirements of the New Roads and Street Works Act and this new guidance.
“I feel this is a great opportunity not only for myself but for Salford as a place and Urban Vision’s new and existing street works clients. It will mean we’re able to add more and more value to the Street Works services we deliver and in addition support the street works industry as a whole. If you have a burning item to put on the street works agenda please get in touch with me at email@example.com”
